Little Sunshine

The Hello, Little Sunshine inititive is Ralphie Read Foundation's early literacy program designed to help children begin their reading journey from day one.

Through partnerships with hospitals, OBGYN practices, pediatrician offices, and other community organizations, we place a copy of Hello Little Sunshine into the hands of expecting families. More than a baby book, it is a resource to encourage parents to talk, sing, and bond with their babies from the beginning.

 

Research shows that a child's brain develops rapidly during the first years of life, and those early interactions lay the foundation for future language, literacy, and learning. Our goal is to help the families we can help from the very beginning.
